The US-144 (and the US-144 MkII) will still be supported. Tascam says new drivers for Windows 7 are being developed for it.

I'm not surprised it already works on Windows 7 32-bit; my Tascam FW-1884 also works fine on Windows 7 32-bit (even though Tascam said they will not be making Windows 7 drivers for it because it is a legacy device). It's the 64-bit versions of Vista and 7 that are giving people fits, with features not supported and lots of BSODs. Those clearly need new drivers.

Here is Tascam's chart, if you are interested. http://www.tascam.de/en/docs/Tascam_Win7_compat.pdf
