Also, your files are not usually 'lost' .. RB makes a backup of the previous version so you can revert back after you save. This requires using the File-Open Special or File-Open Backup depending on the version.

A copy of your original SEQ file is saved to revert back to, as long as you don't create too many of them to where the 'good' file is lost.
These settings default to the "\RBBackup" folder the program runs from; many times it's the C:\RealBand\RBBackup folder.

TBH this sounds like a bit rate mismatch has occurred with the new settings; like 24 bit vs 16 bit .. or maybe 16/44 vs 16/41.
Anyway, as long as you don't save too many times and wipe out that backup, the original file may exist once you get things sorted between the interface settings and RB settings.
