When I click the Ultra Plus Pack 2010 (upgrade from 2009), either DVD or the HD option, the shopping cart says $139,-, while the page info before told me $129,-.
Why is the shop saying 10 bucks more?

As it seems there is no download option available (gues due to the 80 GB size). So sending 2010 to Europe, I will have to pay extra money for the customs (duty fees). Also I don`t know how much the shipping costs to Austria / Europe will be.
Does anyone know if the custom fees will be different for the DVD or the Harddrive?

I have an ultra fast internet connection. So why can`t I download the 80 GB as usual. If you leave the account open for 4-5 days it would be no problem. Last time I downloaded the 40 GB in not quite 2 days.

The Dealers in Austria or Germany get BB 2010 usualy not before April. And they are a lot more expensive.

The upgrade system seems to need a tweak, something like it figures out which stuff you have and what needs an update. Then totals up the download size and you can make your mind up from there.

In beta testing we all had to download the stuff, I fired up firefox, started all the downloads, and went to bed. Was done in the morning.

I still contend the product gets through easier if it's shows a prominent stamp saying "Educational Materials." Most countries let that through without charge.

But PG Music would have to do that, right? Or can I do that. I didn`t quite understand the sentence, sorry.

No, I made a stamp for products I sold in the US, it was a tutorial for how to program in a data base environment. I had the stamp made, educational stuff went free, I had only to declare the value of the media, which was 2 8 inch floppies. Value was about 5 bucks. Before that they were adding 20 percent on the 200 dollar cost of the program. It was the customs office here told me to do that.

Problem solved! I went thtrough the payment routine, and there it was - the option for electronic delivery (download).

Strange thoug: Why isn`t that option declared somewhere BEFORE the payment. Most people in Europe won`t buy without knowing there is this option!

And still, why do i pay 139,- when the upgrade price list says 129,-?????

I'm sure someone will clear up the price thing.

In the meantime the actual program does not take very long to download, and you can start using it right away while waiting for the Real Tracks.

The UltraPlusPAK Upgrade for 2008 and earlier releases is listed for $149 in bandbox.htm, but when you add it to your shopping cart, it shows up at a price of $159. What gives? Is it $149 or $159? Will PG Music honor the $149 price?

---------------------------------
I have replaced this note after having originally removed it on behalf of PG Music. I wanted to save them face for an obvious error. I had to wonder why. The error has been corrected; the price is now $159 across the board.

I refused to upgrade a year ago because of the way I felt their pricing on upgrades shafted those who had invested a thousand-plus dollars in their products (I am not exaggerating...I know that I am approaching the $1,500 range, at least).

The price has dropped considerably, but I am nonplussed.

So is the Ultra pack available for immediate download if you purchase the Ultrapack on USB drive. My email confirmation shows purchased of the Everything pack but the link for download says " No group or invalid group specified "

Since delivery is supposedly within one day its not that big of an issue but I wouldnt mind downloading the 2010 update to test .

Another question would be if the Usb drive has all the previous Material duplicated .. real track, drums ect..ect. Is it then possible to delete Biab from my C: drive and just run Biab from the USB?

dachilles,

You'll probably want to start a new thread with this question, or better yet, ask the question directly through the Live Help button up there at the top of your browser window.

This thread discusses some beta testing issues with respect to PG Music's pricing.

BiaB comes 'preinstalled' on the USB. There's just a little additional installer necessary for any new computer in order to get the fonts and DXi synthies registered appropriately. Other than that, everything may reside in the USB drive - very handy; a true band-in-a-box. 'Course you might as well install everything on your internal HD, gain a few milliseconds of bus transfer time and keep your USB drive in a safe place as a snugly backup.
