BIAB makes the choice. It's not something that users can do.

MGU means that there is midi notation recorded on either the Soloist or Melody tracks. In other, an MGU file has a melody associated with it (hence the "M"GU -- M = melody). The SGU, on the other hand, means that there is no melody... the file is a backing track with nothing on either the Melody or Soloist tracks. I'm not sure what "S" in SGU means but I'm guessing it's probably 'standard'.)
