How do you do your notation? Do you painstakingly work out each note of the audio by ear?

My knowledge of XML is limited but, as far as I'm aware, this format is essentially text-based. If that's the case, then I don't see how audio can be stored since audio is not text-based.

Have a look at the URL below. It's a tutorial on how to use BIAB to convert a monophonic audio source into MIDI. If you can successfully use your audio to do this, then that MIDI would certainly be able to be transferred to Finale.

As mentioned, the process requires a monophonic audio sound (i.e. a single note). For this reason, the process will not work with (say) a guitar or piano Realtrack, etc.
