I generated an RT in BIAB, then brought it to RB as a wav. Now it has warbles, strange echos, and other artifacts.
Anyone know what I did wrong?

Clearly, you need to clean your digital pinch roller and capstan.
(sorry, couldn't resist)
I presume it sounded fine in BIAB. Can you play the file with a different audio player (Windows Media Player or similar)?
How did you create the WAV file?
Did you tempo match RealBand to what you had in BIAB (if you saved the file with ACID information from BIAB, it will adjust to the tempo of RealBand when you bring it in). So if the tempo in BIAB was 180, but the tempo in RealBand was 100, it's going to sound weird.
Just a few thoughts.

It could be a few things, John's post above explains some of them.
I would also ask HOW did you bring the wav file into RB from BiaB.
Did you 'Import' or 'Open' or (?)
Also, if RB is set to a different audio device this could easily happen.
In both programs you should be able to go to the Prefs-Audio area and make sure the audio device (drivers) and settings match between the two.
Bit rate is part of the above mentioned settings to check.

Thanks for the ideas. I don't remember how I brought the files into RB. I think I opened them.
As for bit rate, I don't know how to check that.
I finally gave up on the RT for this song, but I would like to know how to prevent this in the future.

I wonder if what has happened is that in BIAB, the program has automatically substituted a better Realtrack than the one in the style because the tempo of the song was not suitable for that particular Realtrack.
BIAB does this by default. If a Realtrack has been substituted, it will have ~~ in front of it's name.
I'm not sure that RB auto-substitutes like BIAB.
To check for a tempo mismatch, look at the end of the Realtrack name. There will be numbers like 085, 120, 160, etc. These numbers are the tempos that the Realtracks were designed to be used at. If the tempo of your song is significantly different from the given Realtrack value, it probably won't sound too good. The recommended range of tempo variation is -10 to +15.
For example if your song's tempo is 110 bpm then RTs designed for use from 100 bpm to 125 bpm should be ok.

Thanks, Noel. Although I seem to remember the tempos were within 5 BPM. I will check that.
