Yes, you can plug it in, and it doesn't use space on your main PC's hard drive.
(optionally, you can install part of it (1GB, excluding the Realtracks), or all of it (80GB, including the RealTracks) to your Main computer).
So you can either install none/part or all of it to the PC hard drive, and still run the whole program.
