I am experiencing a problem in the chord window while composing an original song. It appears the song is defaulted to repeat 3x. I am unable to remove that repeat. I followed the instructions from the drop down menu that pops up as I right click on the end of the measure where the repeat ends. I can see the option that allows me to edit and open the dialog. I go to remove the repeat and nothing happens after I click OK. The repeat remains there.
Also, the grey measures in the chord view. How can I get to extend the song beyond the beige colored measures and into the grey? The chords are written in and I click the Play button to generate the song. But, it still stops at the last beige measure. I did not know how to search that one in the manual.

If I understand you correctly (I frequently don't), the solution lies in the three buttons next to the tempo window. Default for the three is "1", "32", and "3". Let's look at the three. (If you hover over them with your cursor, a "flyby" hint will appear.
What you call repeats, PG calls choruses. This is controlled by the third button. Press it and change the value to whatever you like; in your case, 1.
The first two buttons determine the beginning and ending of the choruses. The beginning will almost always be "1". Use the second button to change the ending to wherever you want. (You don't need to include the ending; BIAB does that automatically.) So, a four verse (not chorus) 16-bar blues would run from measures 1 to 48 and BIAB would add measures 49 and 50 for the ending.

Thanks Richard. The directions led me to the dialog box that opens when clicked on the end measure. I did not even think of those numbers up there. So, if I understand you correctly (and I don't often understand myself) if I extend the "32" to where I desire the song to end, that also will change the grey to beige in the chord view. I am not on the computer that has BIAB on it at present. When i get home I will follow your instruction for the next song.

If you click on the UNFOLD TO ONE CHORUS in the EDIT drop down..... it's about half way down IIRC..... the song unfolds into a linear format..... and you don't have to worry with repeats and the musical signposts.
All new songs in BB default to the 3x repeat format.
I always, always, always use the unfold command. The ||: repeat :|| 3x doesn't cut it for my working style.
