I seem to remember that in earlier versions there was a checkbox option "Play When Selected", so the song would start as soon as you selected it (I think it was in "Preferences") I can't seem to find it in BIAB 2018.
In the first Preferences screen, without going to any buttons, there is an option to Load Previous Song (or just Style, or do nothing) upon startup. But I don’t recall one to make it play automatically. Not at a computer to check yet...
Could you define what you mean by Select?

I don't usually use the Song Picker Window, I use F3 to load my songs, as I find it quicker. It would be nice to be able to opt for "Play when Selected" from there. As Matt suggested, maybe a global setting.
