Working with Stylemaker is a pretty exciting part of BIAB.
One thing to keep in mind when playing in this area is that unless the user creates a new style when saving, the present style that is loaded will be overwritten. This means that however the original style was setup, prior to making changes, will be lost.
The above process that you followed sounds like that it might have overwritten the style on which you based your backing. If this is the case, next time you load that style to create another backing, the style will always play 'A' drums only.
When you exited Stylemaker, if you saved the style with a new name, then the original style's settings will have been preserved.
