That's the brilliance of jazz, new or old, it doesn't need an all-refined melody to work. And this one definitely "works"  p.s. Props for resisting the pitfall of 'too much' and not just make the leads be blasting away on every bar throughout. Those intervals are precisely the thing that gave the piece structure. - Well done.

I now see that I have not mentioned the categories of my 2 entries and correct accordingly: Big Easy is 100% Real Tracks and the genre is Jazz/Dixieland.
