OK, Now I understand what you mean. BiaB treats each half bar of chords as a full bar of notation.

BiaB shows 6/8 time with split bar lines. It states the time signature is 6/8 but shows the notation in 3/4.

I think it's a limitation of the notation display. Others may know more.
