I'm not sure it's your best song to date but it is mighty good. The lyrics are well crafted and you sang them well. Your production is awesome.

What I don't get is how you manage to change how your voice sounds from song to song. Listen to Dixie and Big Star and if you didn't know better you wouldn't think the songs are sung by the same vocalist. Dang but that's good.

A few years ago I listened to many, many Pat Boone songs as much as to study the production as to casually listen. I listened to everything from Moody River to Speedy Gonzalus to El Paso (note for note backing track copy of Marty Robbin's original) to his sacred albums. The producer, arranger and engineer ALWAYS paid attention to molding the voice to the song. You seem to know how to play that game too. Jim Reeves and Marty Robbins songs have the same attention to vocal detail.
