Need a midi cable/interface. Check this website under hardware Edirol usb midi controller, uses the thru function to play through the software.
The software changes the chords not you.
I have the idea you don't understand that the software is the rest of the band, you play along with it, like if you had a drummer, bass player, and horn section in your house, and you play the keyboard. For that I turn off the piano part and the melody and do that myself with the keyboard. You don't really NEED to hook up the keyboard at all.....
