I have the original release of the DP-24. It varies from the DP-24SD with having a CD player/recorder and midi in/out. Otherwise they are functionally the same. It is very durable and intuitive to use. I highly recommend it. It is easy to transfer audio between the unit and a computer or DAW.

My unit has never failed and I have quite a bit of use on it. I used the DP-24 predecessor 2488 neo for years, also never had it fail.
