Hi all,because of illness havent been around for a while..hope someone can help with this..is it possible to record a song that Ive written on my 24 track Tascam standalone onto BIAB or on Real Band Thanks Frankie

Yes. If you have the DP-24, here is a good tutorial regarding moving files between the multitrack recorder and a DAW. If you wish to use the individual tracks recorded in the Tascam in DAW on the computer, it's best to use RealBand where you can work with 48 tracks at a time. If you export a stereo mix file from the Tascam, that will work fine in Band in a Box. You can also export BIAB/RB audio tracks and use them in your Tascam Multitrack. Tascam DP-24 Import and Export

That's a very good unit and will give you years of service. It also interfaces nicely between the unit and Band in a Box. Hope to hear you post some of your music here on the forum soon.

Bob I have the original release of the DP-24. It varies from the DP-24SD with having a CD player/recorder and midi in/out. Otherwise they are functionally the same. It is very durable and intuitive to use. I highly recommend it. It is easy to transfer audio between the unit and a computer or DAW. My unit has never failed and I have quite a bit of use on it. I used the DP-24 predecessor 2488 neo for years, also never had it fail. There is a 12 video tutorial on YouTube that is very thorough and detailed if you want to get an idea of the unit capabilities prior to purchase. Here's a link to the DP-24 Introduction Video
