Just ordered the BIAB 2010 Ultrapak on PG's USB drive -- now I'm thinking about a new laptop to run it. I see on the feature list page (http://www.pgmusic.com/bandbox_featurelist.htm) that PG says BIAB will run with as little as 128 MB of RAM (256 preferred), with Windows 98 or later. Really? C'mon, what do I need to run it well? I'm not that impatient, and I won't be recording any audio in BIAB at all. But I don't want to wait forever to hear my realtracks, either, and I like to be able to quickly audition different styles. Since I'll only be using this for BIAB, and light weight and portability is a priority, I'd love it if I could get away with a Netbook (Atom N270 or 280, 1 or 2 GB of Ram), running XP or WIndows 7 starter, for $300-$350. Or do I really need something fancier, like a 13-14 inch machine with a faster Pentium processor in the $600 to $800 (or higher) range? How demanding is BIAB 2010?
