I got a Dell mini for 279 for just this purpose. It is a tad bit slower than my duo core dell BUT I don't find this at all. What ever PG did to speed up the load time for real tracks works without a hitch on the mini as well as the larger machines. It takes no time to upload the rt's and in fact I'm setting here using the juke box feature to play the real track demos for me and it takes a second or two per tune to load the real tracks. No time at all. The sound through the speakers was total crap but I'm playing it through a set of old and cheap desk top speakers and the sound absoutly rocks!

You would have to be a extremly impatient person to really be unhappy with the load speeds using the Atom. I got it so I could use it on stand and have nothing else on the machine. Figured I couldn't go very wrong at 279. With the cost of the new USB upgrade at 154 w s/h I've got 433 in the total system. I figure now all I have to get is a decent portable PA system & I'll be ready to take the rig out on a small bar or resturant gig.
