Which Band-in-a-Box 2016 package do you have (Pro, MegaPAK, UltraPAK, etc)?
If you're using RealTracks, I'd say the first step would be to open the RealTracks Picker and try out your different bass and piano RealTracks to see if you have RealTracks that play what you've described. You might not, but hopefully there'll be something close.
Once you've added them to your song, you can use Bar Settings to mute any tracks other than Bass and Piano on bar 1, and insert a Back To Normal command to tell the muted tracks to start playing again on bar 9.
If you don't have RealTracks that are suitable for what you have in mind, you can also select a MIDI style, freeze the Bass and Piano tracks, and use the Notation or Piano Roll window to edit those tracks manually.
