Hi, I feel your pain. I had problems getting my Tascam Fireone to work with Win 7. I was going to get an M-audio 610, which I had heard great reviews about, until I went to the user's forum at M-audio and began reading about all the problems windows users were having with it and other devices by that company. In the last week, I found a workaround for getting Tascam units to work with win 7, here is the link> http://runagate.noisepages.com/2009/10/how-to-get-the-tascam-fireone-working-on-windows-7/Now my Fireone is working great, BIAB sounds better than ever, life is good. If you are deciding which interface to buy, I would highly recommend the new Firewire interface from Focusrite> Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 16-in/8-out FireWire Audio Interface, 24-bit/96kHz Resolution, with 2 Microphone Preamplifiers, DSP Mixer, and Software Bundle - Mac/PC $299 and the mic preamps are better than M-audio. For this price you are not going to get Apogee quality, but still very nice and no problems with win 7 32 & 64. Ed
