Most Audio Interfaces have MIDI in and MIDI out. Not only will this allow you to use your keyboard, most audio interfaces come with low latency ASIO drivers.

A really great interface should not cost you an arm and a leg. Most MIDI to USB cables just do not have the same ability as an actual Audio Interface. You also get the benefit of Audio Inputs if you ever decide to record Audio.

Check out some Audio Interfaces made by Focusrite or Steinberg for some excellent units at low cost.
