OP Tangmo Expert Joined: Aug 2018 Posts: 1,381	Mr. Jay **** Song Summary *********** Title: Mister Jay Soloist is saved with the song : BlueGrass Swing Fiddle (210) Style is C_TEX_SW.STY (Country Texas Swing) Style MIDI Instruments are : Acoustic String Bass (33), Electric Piano (5), Jazz Electric Guitar (27), MIDI Drums :1 Standard Drum Kit (1) It's likely that I picked up some other sounds from other midi styles, but I don't remember. I sang and knocked. This song was born from a fun conversation with the real "Mr. Jay". a bail-bondsman in Houston. He not only inspired the song with his stories, but helped to "Houstonify" it. I like this song for the fun. I'm not happy with the mix--especially the bass panned left, the mono drums, the guitar sound, and the over-done piano licks Other than that? Hazards. It wouldn't take much to kick this up a few notches with realtracks, realdrums, and a better mix. Jay is still around BTW, retired a few years ago. I had kinda hoped Jay would take this song to his band and that they could add it to their set with their own arrangement, but didn't happen. I'm working on a new version/arrangement now with RT's and RD's, and a bigger production but I put this together in two sections, it appears, and I'm not sure if it will work. Back still hurts, so I can't sit and work for long periods. We'll see what I can do. Thanks for the comments. As long as I made Jay laugh, I succeeded with my initial goals. BIAB 2021 Audiophile. I get the impression that you've taken a bit of time writing this and putting it together because everything is sitting so well in my headphones!
