That's a really extra-fine folk-rock song. Simple and to the point, yet still leaves me with some room for imagination. Loved your vocal and the tonally well-matched high-distorted guitar. Really like this. We rarely use a quote in a response but, man, this just nailed our feeling. There is never any fluff in your lyrics. Nothing to add and nothing to take away. THE sweet spot. "Can’t get along With my dreams I lose my footing Fall off the beam I’m lost in the city On some avenue Without a name Without a clue " Whoa, if that doesn't invite you in nothing will! Wow Bob, this is special and one of your best. You've demonstrated here how less is certainly more. The lyrics are first class and so is the vocal, not to mention the overall arrangement and production.
I agree with Floyd that the kick drum could do with less 'click' and more low end, but that's nothing in the scheme of things. This is a terrific track.
