OK, finally my "seniors brain" kicked in.
The secret of course (thanks for the video) is to use the "right click" function IN THE LYRIC AREA and use the "copy" function there, rather than the Edit menu or the CTRL+C command.
So it works just fine.
I'll mark my post as "solved" but I hope Support takes a look at it, and makes the function available using the Copy Special > Copy From - To command also.
It would save having to copy the lyrics separately.
