Randy Newman vocal style/sound with a stomp beat.
The left channel seemed quite empty and unbalanced until the organ stabs came in.

Very catchy!
I agree that left channel feels a bit empty. I am not a good mixer, but as a listener, I would prefer vocals more upfront...just a bit closer.

Agree with other posters, vocal a bit lost in the background..have you considered a portion of the vocal with just the piano, like at the end, then bring in your heavy artillery as you move the song forward? Just a suggestion that might give you a chance to plant the lyric idea firmly before embellishing with more color and volume.

Really nice work! I listened on speakers so I didn't really notice the panning issue, but I thought your vocal delivery was distinct in memorable, and that the progressions throughout were really smooth. Plus, it's nicely catchy too. Thanks for sharing

Hi rayc;
The left channel seems unbalanced? How is that possible if the song was recorded in stereo? Did you check your audio equipment? Are you using regular headphones (left speaker defect) or an NFL headset to listen to this song? Did you check your left channel cable? Is your left speaker connected properly? Do you have a head cold and your left ear is clogged? =D
The organ was delayed for greater effect. It's suppose to grab your full attention when it comes in. It's all under that thing I like to call creativity! =D
When you get a new set of headphones or speakers, take another listen with the left speaker only!!!
