I have it, use it, and recommend it - if that's that sort of thing you want.

It really depends on what you're trying to do.

As the name says, you're getting a bunch of canned presets, with two degrees of freedom. However, those two knobs may be doing more than one thing in the background.

Sure, you could do it cheaper/better if you understood the toolchain.

It also means that you'll be buying a bunch of preset packs from Toontrack.

This is the time of year that Toontrack is having big sales, so currently you could pick up the Big Rock Guitars or Lead Vocals packs for $20. You can also get the 6 pack bundle to mix and match 6 sets of your own choice - again, currently on sale for $113.

So it's a limited tool that can only be expanded by spending more money. If you're looking to save money, at the end of the day you might find you spent as much as you would have on other products.

But it does work as promised.
