Since they [RealTracks] sounded so great I assumed the quality of the midi VST Would be comparable, especially with the cost if the audiophile version. MIDI of course is 'data' and needs a sound module to convert that data to audio. RealTracks are Audio and the Audiophile version has higher quality Audio, but that quality has no bearing on anything related to MIDI at all. So MIDI is only going to sound as good as the quality of your sound module. As a woodwind player, you also create articulations that existing MIDI data may or may not have. Some members here record their own MIDI data using a MIDI Wind Controller with excellent results.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
