Yes, you can copy RealTracks folders from another drive. I do that to create a minimal set of what I need on my laptop.
Not sure what happened to you, but the fix you propose is pretty easy.

The XPro & Xtra Styles PAKs are not included in any Band-in-a-Box® package.

They will not work with the Pro or MegaPAK version as they require the RealTracks included in the UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, or Audiophile Edition.
