The only reason I added the slide guitar section is because I thought people might benefit from a slight break from the dubious quality of my humming, haha ... and thought that a bridge section without it may work. I don't know what other alternatives I have for that (I'm worried about restating the main theme with the humming ... maybe restating it somehow without the humming may work ... maybe in A flat major, the key of the bridge passage - or, in any case, a key other than the C major of the rest of the song, so as to give the listener a genuine break from the usual? - I have to think about it, haha, as another reason for that bridge passage was the wish for variety ... we'll see!!!), but ... I'll give it another listen and see what I can come up with. I'm really glad you enjoyed it, though, and thanks again for such genuinely honest, constructive, expert and genuinely useful feedback!!!
