When one is - as example - recording an improvised MELODY track - whether audio or MIDI it would be extremely useful to be able to keep as many TAKES when recording more than once.

And then either decide on a take - or as happens these days in DAW world - be able to choose different sections from each take to be assembled into a final "COMPED" melody track.

Now that BIAB Mac finally has a MIDI Piano Roll editor - ( ONCE ALL THE BUGS AND MISSING FUNCTIONALITY is sorted ) I see it becoming an extremely valuable tool for coming up with melodies and compositions from scratch.

Given I tend to prefer to improvise melodies and then carve, massage and shape them into something workable afterwards - such Take and Comping features would be much appreciated.
