I can see this being important if you're running a computer, DAW and Biab live in a performance. Not very many people do that though on a gig.
Most will use all that cool stuff to create MP3's of your songs and import them into a tablet running Gig Performer or if it's Apple For Score.
Those apps not only let you combine your MP3 (or wav's if you have the space) with any type of chord/lyrics you want and they also can allow for page turning via a Bluetooth footswitch.
They all have very good ways to create and manage set lists for different gigs. I use an Amazon Fire HD 10 just for charts with many different bands I play with. I got it about 5 months ago and I must have a dozen completely different set lists for different bands and singers. I use Fakebook Pro for charts only but you need more than that so those other apps will do all that and more.
Running computers and software live on a gig can be hazardous to your musical health sometimes.

This needs to be FULL screen or near FULL screen. You can save the song to Video most DAWs will load a video (if not a video player vst) and mute the audio or turn the vol right down. You can adjust the size of the lyrics in Prefs > Display.

Bob Hi jazzmammal, your post is confusing. Im talking mainly about recording in a DAW, not live use. Im not familiar with running Gig Performer or Apple Score. Do those assist with lyrics, in the recording process also? thanks

Oh, ok. I just assumed you were talking about live performing. I obviously don't understand what you're trying to do. If you're in your studio recording into a daw, you're trying to record your playing and singing at the same time? I see your point then. Personally I've never done that in a studio setting. The singers do their tracks after I've laid down the music so they can just stand in front of a mic with the lyrics in their hands if they want.
