Thanks Tony, I am sure you are right, but what about being tied to one laptop, as I have a gigging smaller laptop, a studio laptop, and desktop pc. I might want to ready material on an office machine and transfer to my smaller one when I am performing. Is the HD with the Ultrapak+ a dongle with encrypted ID for multiple machines? That I think is best answered by someone else. I create my tracks on a desktop with enough grunt to do more than I require. I then level things out and put them on a laptop. On the laptop I have a guitar sym (TH2) that I have setup and balanced to my backing tracks. I simply plug my guitar into a Roland Tricapture, then via the laptop the guitar and backing pops out into a PA and away I go. My setup is very simple. Tony
