Hi Experts, Just to continue the theme of re-discovering BIAB skills from a decade ago, another "is this possible"....?
My current work in progress has a 4-bar rallentando at the end, where the tempo steps down 2bpm with 4 bars to go,then another 2bpm to end.I've taken the RealDrums rendered .WAV file and MIDI Bass and Electric Piano into SONAR to add the guitar parts.
The Bass and EP retain the Rall, however the RealDrums finish the last 4 bars retaining the original tempo, thus putting everything out of whack. The Rall works fine for all instruments when played in BIAB
Is there an esoteric option hidden away in Bar Settings or Real Drums settings to allow tempo changes to accompany a rendering operation?
I seem to vaguely remember asking this in the past, and the subject of Tempo Maps came up.
Am I getting warmer?

It sounds like there are two program "by default" conspiring against you.
1. When WAV files are saved in BIAB, they can saved with ACID information (unless this option has been de-activated). This means that they have the ability to be adjusted in pitch and adjusted in tempo.
2. Sonar, by default, automatically reads ACID information and accommodates it (again unless this has been de-activated). This means that when the wav is dropped into Sonar, it will be adjusted by Sonar's tempo.
If my theory is correct, then trying the following will help.
Under "Audio | Export song as audio file", de-select "Include ACID info" (#3 on image below).
Now press the "Render" button (#4). This will save tracks to WAV files without ACID information. My experience is that it's necessary to render once via this dialogue to have the de-activated setting remembered.
Also, the Realdrum wav file created by the above render should be able to be dropped into Sonar without issue.
Have you gone back into the audio rendering settings recently to double-check that saving with ACID info is still de-active? If it isn't then I suspect that the drum wav is still being sent to Sonar with time-stretching information.
I did put my two bobs worth in but I may have been wrong.
It seems to me to be easier to let BB to play straight through then use a tempo map in Sonar to slow down at the required bars. Basically set up the tempo map and pull the files in. This should work. However if you have some files already slowing this will complicate things.
That is one place I much prefer Reaper to Sonar. In Reaper you simply tell Reaper to maintain pitch when slowing the rate and create an automation curve to slow the rate. Simple and you can see it.
