I have made the song timing the way it is supposed to be (I believe) . But the timing shown in the notation is not correct while in "regular notation mode".
The timing shown in the notation is shown correctly while in "editable notation mode".
Have you tried setting the time signature display using the button shown below in the upper image. This is only a cosmetic display. (I anticipate that this will not do the job for you but it's worth trying.)
The way you've notated the notes is equivalent to have a 6/4 time signature in one bar of BIAB's 4/4. This is certainly a clever way to imitate 6/8 from a notation perspective.
When I notated triplets like you have and switched to normal display, all was well. See the lower image below. This leads me to believe that there is a setting in your notation options that's causing the issue.
Can you make the MGU file available for download so that I can have a look at it?
Changing the setting to 12/8 or 6/8 (split barline) using the button you indicate does change the non-editable notation. I think it makes it correct. But it is very peculiar looking timing, and difficult to read.
I've just sent you back a modified file in a private message. See if it's any good. It's works for me using BIAB 2019 (64-bit).
What I did was....
1. set the notation "Opt" (#1 on image) settings as shown on the image below -- of these settings disabling auto tick off-set and setting the tick offset to 0 are important (#3, #4), as well as triplet resolution (#2).
I also removed the bar settings since these all seemed to be setting each bar to 4/4. This is not required since the original time signature is 4/4.
Thanks Noel! That works, using your file, and changing the option settings as you indicated. It also works with my original file, with the setting changes.
