The mostly "standards" tracks I've built for these gigs are predominately Real-Tracks so I don't care about latency. I really love BIAB for this live application as I can change speed or key or feel at a moment's notice to keep things fresh.
If you don't care about latency and your audio interface doesn't require ASIO then there is no reason to use ASIO.
