That’s a great question! How is that done? I’m using the audiophile version Where do the files get placed and do they need to be loaded onto the external hard drive as well as the computer’s drive? I always use the 3rd install option that loads the WMA files into the computer. I generally don’t have the external drive hooked up when I’m writing, but hook it up when rendering. Thanks Davetune
You can find the old bonuses in 'account', 'my products'; that if you bought them, and in my case only up to 2015 backwards. I now wonder if there are older ones available, as i tend to think i bought the 'everything' regarding the AP versions from day one ....
Any body has older ones? found 2012, 2013, 2014 i downloaded and archived, but they're called 2014_12pak etc. Guess i bought 'em back then, but are these now suddenly called bonus? Confusing lot .... and do i need 'em too? SEE TOP 3 PICTURES BELOW.
NOW IF THEY'VE BEEN UPDATED or FIXED MEANWHILE, they might overwrite existing stuff with erroneous content ???
Also added what's installed now that i downloaded with 2019. (SEE lowest PICTURE).
A list of what's actually needed from PG itself could come in handy, clearing these matters. Drives me nuts; at least I got lost ... F
That's why, year after year, and asked/answered multiple times a year, especially this time every year - "us old timers," recommend you simply install right over the OLD install.
1) if worried about new install "corrupting" old well (that hasn't happened to me yet and I've been doing it since DOS BIAB) then COPY the old existing BB folder FIRST to someplace else and/or back up OLD BB first, or both!
2) THIS DESCRIPTION OF HOW TO INSTALL UPDATE BIAB SHOULD BE A PERMANENT STICKY.
I think of all the bonus paks, RT's, utilities, special libs, styles, artist add-ons that could be lost if I tried to do a CLEAN install and then went back and tried to find all that "stuff" - and I'm "AN&L retentive" when it comes to keeping EVERYTHING - FOREVER (and MULTIPLE copies, at that, at both on-site and off-site).

.... then COPY the old existing BB folder FIRST to someplace else and/or back up OLD BB first, or both! Larry
BUP a BIAB installation : a lot of HD space and time needed if you have the AP version .... thanks for the tip. To be safe I guess, again SIQ as i just finished this time consuming hassle, i'll move the RT and Drums folders first out of harms way, with temporary empty folders at their BB location. Then install the old paks, and move the RT and Drums content back with overwriting ..

I got quite a bit of old PG extra's collected, probably most of 'em i never used. Steinberg has an archive with all their old stuff packed accessible and downloadable for every one on their servers ... PG? - F
I keep the downloaded .EXE for every bonus pak, Xtra style, one-time promotion etc. so even if I had to start all over, I would have everything without too much effort.
BIAB 2025 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 7 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6, Song Master Pro, Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Presonus 192 & Faderport 8, Royer 121, Slate VSX, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors.
So i reinstalled a lot of bonuses a new. As for the RTs etc: they only contain RT and Drumtrack wma files. Where are the WAVs, as i have the AP version ???
It's been mentioned a couple of times over the years... when one orders the Audiophile edition, PG Music will install the WAV files on the USB drive prior to shipping. As far as I'm aware, these files have never been supplied on DVDs nor via My Products within Sales Account.
Why not use Live Help to ask one of the staff? That might be the quickest way to get feedback.
