SIQ, VST 1.11.7 and Cubase 9.5; can't get it working ... Anybody?
Just sent to PG support: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- installed 1.11.7 after deleting all the old versions (manually according your list). Cubase 9.5.41, Widows 10 64bit, RME UFX ii, ASIO. Biab 607 plays well with a latency of only 128 samples, no distortion it seems.
Plugin loads, only on a Cubase 'intrument'= VST track, has to be seen as VST. Plugins like EZdrummer can be addressed via a 'normal' MIDI track. checked the RT locations in preferences etc, but as soon as i address and load a MGU songfile, the plugin disappears, and when you bring it up front again, you get this page (again, as with the old version). (SEE PICTURE) OK this and the plugin is up front again, it loads a selected style, but the tracks won't be rendered. (pressing select style goes to the correct folder, pressing demo produces sound from the VST.)
ADDED information: I just loaded an old SGU MIDI only file OK, plays etc, seems the audio-RT stuff has a problem ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to add further confusion. The plugin is actually version number 1.7.11 when you look at the file in Windows properties yet even PG Music are refering to it as 1.11.7 in the release notes and in the support ticket they sent to me.
I still can't get the thing to render squat. Honestly I've given up on it by now as it seems to provide so little usefulness even if it did work.
Thanks for pointing out the typo in the patch docs. It is indeed 1.7.11. You can check the version in File | Preferences | About. If you didn't get it to generate track, we would need to have more info about what you tried etc. I've been running Cubase for a while, selecting styles and generating and dragging tracks. To start try:
1. Right-clicking | Add track | Instrument | Band-in-a-Box DAW Plugin. 2. Check folder paths in File | Preferences, to make sure they are correct. 3. Click Style, choose a style, and OK. 4. Press Generate.
I do experience the issue where it loses focus after selecting a style or generating tracks, but as soon as I click the main screen or press Alt+tab it comes to the top immediately. We will look into that.
Just tried out the new VST in a DAW - man, is it slow to generate tracks! Also seems to get "clogged" towards the end of generation. Plus it seems you cannot generate individual tracks UNTIL the whole song has been generated.
It also slowed down PC operations on the whole as well. For example getting in to the forum took about two minutes while it was generating, usually it's a few seconds.
So yeah I think, while it's a great idea and very welcome tool, it does need some refinement I think.

Hi Andrew, did all that, but things go wrong after addressing an RT-ridden MGU with in my case 2/4 and 4/4 bar counts. Pressed Generate LoL. The chords won't display, and the VST disappears as said. It works with an other MIDI only SGU and a 4/4 MGU however.
Generating that SGU: Takes a while, and a a fully RT ridden MGU however takes almost forever, and hangs for a while at about 80%.
I addressed two other recently made MGU's with 2/4 and 4/4 bars in it: that also gives the above error message each time ...
Sometimes the plugin disappears from view, while loading, but not always.
Loading the MGU with the disappearing GUI: I waited it out till all the yellow green popups are finished, if it works ... and only then bring up the VST: plays OK solo-ed sound and all. Starting Cubase playback: the bar indicator follows, but NO SOUND.
====> ONE IMPORTANT TIP: SHORTEN THE DISPLAYED NAME OF THE VST, (remove 'DAW PLUGIN' in the naming f.i.) it doesn't always display fully in the inspector in CUBASE, the name is quite long compared to other VSTs IMO.
