You're probably right about it being off by default. I don't think that most folks would expect enabling this function would produce this sort of initial result. Once it happens to you, you figure it out. It wouldn't surprise me that the initial settings after the install were MME, so when I started setting up my ASIO drivers I started turning on ASIO features that would not be required when using MME. I regularly enable input monitoring in Sonar, and it doesn't produce this sort of result when simply turned on. Live and learn. I'll have to start reading the manual, before I flick a switch, not after. LOL

Anyway, we'll have to wait and see if Rick fell into the same trap.
