I've been having a lot of fun with this concept, even though so far very few of my submissions have been accepted by the people behind this. Anyway, I suspected the original thread about this had got too long & chatty and rather drowning out the actual work showcased there, so here's my latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-hXteQRyWU

...bass sounds a bit like Mr Kite I think ? Not a bad guess, but nope. Keep trying  EDIT: Here's a further hint - pay attention to the bass once the soloists kick in, it's those 4 bars over and over.

I've mended my YT comment to reveal the "mystery" rather than have people guessing. It looks like it was a lot harder to spot than I thought it was, but I suppose anything is simple when you already know the answer

I guess you added the melody to give it away...
I wonder if I would have guessed correctly without the reveal...

I'm late to spot this post...
I guess you added the melody to give it away... Not quite the intention, no. The plan I had was always to make a different version of the song "You won't see me", and that obviously required its melody to be there all along. The discovery, however, that I made along the way about how the bass line from a totally different Beatles song could then be merged in, that was just a happy stroke of chance, a fluke, or luck... or whatever you wanna call it

I did misunderstand...
Under the circumstances...
I still might have recognized...
The 1 2 4 1 chord progression & bass line of "You Won't See Me "...
As being the same progression as in "Eight Days a Week".
