Rob Helms Veteran R Joined: Aug 2006 Posts: 8,686 Pawling New York	Mr. BBMaestro, how do you compare Sonar X3 and Cakewalk Bandlab I used Sonar X1 a while back and downloaded Bandlab recently. So far the plugin doesn’t work with it. I normally use Studio One I find Bandlab rather cluttered. I can clean it up but I wonder is it stable. I always found Sonar slightly shakey. I also don’t really understand the comping features in cakewalk. It’s so easy in Studio One. HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini Sonoma with 16 gig of ram, BiaB/RB 2026, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 11 , Presonus Audiobox USB96

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe

This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
