Hi Marty,

Glad you enjoyed the song. And you're the first person to mention the pause. And you are on track with your assessment. It's supposed to represent a moment where she pauses to catcj her breath and reorganize her emotions. Good catch!

Hope your Christmas was great and the New Year equally wonderful.

Alan

In the scene, a young lady who just emerged from a coma with pure retrograde amnesia (can't remember anything prior to her accident) is looking through a scrapbook of family photos. She sees herself but can't recognize anyone other than what she's been told. Some photos make her smile - some bring tears to her eyes.

As she turns the pages, she thinks to herself "This is my
first time to see these photos - again." This song attempts to capture her feelings as she browses the photo album.

Given this song attempts to capture her inner thoughts, I used a little extra reverb on the reso.

Oh Alan,

so you're also writing novels? I should have known that there's no creative matter you don't deal with..

This is another wonderful tune of yours - did I ever mention that whenever I hear you play guitar the word 'tasteful' inevitably comes to my mind? smile I just love the way you play !!!!!!

All the best,

Stefan

Alan,

Lovely reflective piece, the band sounds great, and you put it all together very nicely.
Hope the novel goes well.

Hi David,

I love a good 1/16th swing rhythm and you've used this one exquisitely. The feel is relaxing and introspective and complements your scenario really well.

When I saw the title, "First Time Again", I was intrigued. The first pre-listening thoughts that appeared in my mind were: "How is it possible to work this title and have the polar opposites of 'first time' and 'again' sit comfortably with one another?" The notion of a memory loss did not occur to me -- what a clever twist, though. I continue to be very impressed with your skills at creating clever lyrical thoughts.

This was a very satisfying musical journey. Thank you.

My best 2019 wishes to you both,
Noel
