I am trying to install from a USB drive that PGM sent me a few days ago.
Everything went right the first time I installed BiaB on Windows 10 with all the latest patches. But then I tried to install the 609 update. That process hung up in the middle... and it also messed up my initial successful installation.
So, I uninstalled everything with Revo Uninstaller and started over -- several times, actually: Once in regular user mode, and once, running as Administrator. (Also with McAfee Security turned off.)
Now the installation hangs every time at a specific file:
E:\bb\RealTracks\UserTracks\Violin Section, Loop ArabianCeremony Ev 090\Memo.txt
Clicking the Cancel button does nothing. The installation process is completely hungup.
Anyone have any ideas about this?
Your guidance is appreciated.

Hi Steve, You may have a corrupted V609 update file. I would delete the file and not worry about the V609 update at all. V610 has been released and is available for download +++ HERE +++. You do not have to install earlier updates to apply the current update.

It would also be worth checking the "\bb\RealTracks\UserTracks\Violin Section, Loop ArabianCeremony Ev 090" folder and if there is a memo.txt there, rename it to memo.txt.old (or something similar).
It could be that the operation stops here because it's asking for confirmation to overwrite the file but the confirmation window is not visible.
There's also a file called Options.txt in that directory, too. I've rename that to Options.txt.old while there.

Thanks, Jim and Noel96.
Even though I had uninstalled the program, the \bb folder was still there with all that data.
The installation went smoothly after I deleted that folder, as well.
I'm now on Build 610.

I've had similar installation problems with other software and it took me ages to work out what might be happening.
