OP CountryTrash Journeyman Joined: Dec 2009 Posts: 430 Benoni, South Africa	I installed 2019 last week and have been plaing realtracks all the while... (I am only using the 32bit BIAB) Today I selected a midi style to make the chord entry/generation quicker like I have always done. NOW I HAVE NO SOUND? I then realised that my setting to use my Coyote ForteDXi is missing? I re-installed Coyote ForteDXi but cannot seem get it registered in BIAB? When I do point to the dll it return an "Access Denied " Can I still use this with BIAB and if so how do I get it going..? Last edited by CountryTrash; 12/31/18 07:03 AM. "Access Denied" is almost always a permissions issue. 2 things to try: Run As Administrator Check Licensing I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome Make your sound your own!

jford Veteran Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 12,844 Pensacola, Florida	First of all, you don't point to any DLL. ForteDXi is a DXi synth, not a VST synth. As such it is registered in the Windows Registry, which knows about it. When you launch BIAB (32-bit only, it will not work in 64-bit BIAB), BIAB scans the registry for available DX/DXi plugins/synths and builds the list of available plugins/synths. Make sure you launch BIAB "as administrator", so that the activation feature gains that right to write your license information to the registry. If you don't see ForteDXi as a selection, you might need to rescan for new DXi's (especially if you just re-installed it). See this post from Kent at PG Music. Maybe it will help. If you need to re-enter your serial number, once you see Forte DXi in the list of avaliable synths, select it, then right click on the synth interface and select register. Enter you serial number and hit OK (you'll have to click on OK twice). Close BIAB, relaunch, and it should be available and authorized/activated. jford Veteran Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 12,844 Pensacola, Florida	I'm not at my music computer right now, but it seems to me that there is also a file in the BIAB folder structure somewhere called something like "MaxDXiPlugins - something something dot txt" that you can delete. I'll take a look later when I get home from work. Seems that PGMusic said deleting that may help. I'll let you know.
