I have spent hours and hours tonight trying to make sense out of this program. Every time I think I have figured something out it shows me that I haven't. I change from midi to real something and then ask it to save and it doesn't save the real stuff. Well sometimes it does but...

Where are the real drums? It says it's looking in c:bb/drums all I find there is jazz brushes and bossa brushes. There are some other pop stuff but I don't care about that stuff.

Every time I ask for a style it can't find real drums. If I read it right I have every jazz drum style, but all I can find is jazz brushes and bossa brushes.

Help!!!

dgr

It must be too late for the program to work, or it's too late for me to have a brain.

Sorry....Just really frustrated.

It a learning curve. A very big one..

There are video tutorials. This is not a program you can learn without some study. It is too complex.

Give concrete examples, put your computer setup in you signature and provide a scenario and someone will jump in and lend a hand.

Visit a site via google, Allanah's Band in a Box should get you to a repository of tunes. Download something we all probably have in our folders, use that, and we can talk about what you don't get. There are some setup issues with realdrums that need to be understood.

Once you see what is going on the light will come on too.

About 1/3 of the way down the below webpage, you'll find a video called "Band In A Box Quick Start Tutorial". It's worth having a look at. From memory, the version of BIAB used is a couple of editions ago, but it's still relevant.

Hello dgr,

If you give one specific example of a problem you're having, including the message you're getting, the answer to that will probably give you a better understanding of what's going on... Also, which Band-in-a-Box package do you have?

Thanks guys, it was late and I wanted to play not study. I just wanted it to somehow know exactly what I wanted. All points taken and I'll be more rational.

Hang in there! Just as John said, it is a big learning curve. We've all been there, done it, and survived It will only take a couple of days to start seeing how it all fits together. Once you've passed the initial climb, the learning curve becomes a gentler slope.

This can be so hard to learn as there are so many variable. Just remember nothing worth while is easy. Sports music, any hobby or vocation take study and patience to be a master. Hey if I can learn this anyone can!
