Hi guys, happy new year! I need some help from one of the RB experts, but how do I attach or insert screen shots? I only see the option to 'enter' one via a url? I'm having trouble with generated RealTracks ringing out naturally at the ending of a tune. The RealDrums stop where they should, and the bass RealTrack rings out till a natural fade. No matter how many times I regenerate the keyboard and guitar tracks though, they stop too short. I'd like to show you what the BIAB and RB chart endings look like, and my 'Song Settings' for BIAB, which are 'Generate 2-bar ending/Use 4-bar ending for RealTracks/Start the ending 2-bars early.' None of these are super critical to me, I just want the chordal instruments to ring-out naturally with the bass. The only I can make it works as is is to do a super-quick fade during mixdown. FWIW, the BIAB execution on the SGU does what I want, the RB SEQ version doesn't. I think you need to see the screen shots to help. Thanks!!

Hi Warren,

There's a few things you need to do to attach a screenshot to a post, take the screenshot, save the screenshot as a graphic file and attach the file to your post.

Taking the screenshot: Press the "PrntScr" key on your keyboard to copy a snapshot of the whole display screen. If you have multiple windows open and want a screenshot of just one of the open windows, make the desired window the "active" window (the window in the forefront) then press both "Alt" + "PrntScr" and a screenshot of the active window is taken. In both cases the screenshot is stored in the Windows clipboard.

Save the screenshot as a graphics file: Open a graphics program like Windows Paint. Press both the "Ctrl" + "V" keys at the same time to paste the screenshot previously stored in the Windows clipboard. Now save the screenshot as a jpg or png file to your desktop. I always leave the filename as the default name used by the graphics program for simplicity.

Now to attach the file to your post: Press the "Switch to Full Reply Screen" button at the bottom of the Quick Reply: box and the Quick Reply: box changes to the New Reply box. Press the File Manager link and the File Manager window opens. Follow steps 1, 2 & 3 to upload the screenshot.

I knew it would be one of The Fogle Bros. to the rescue. :>) I just needed how to attach- thanks though! I went to full reply but didn't see the 'file manager' link! So here goes... Capture is the BIAB chart, Capture1 is the RB chart that transferred over. Capture2 is a shot of the RB timeline- it won't show much but you may be able to see that the waveform of the piano and guitar tracks are kinda' fat at the end, like they're terminating but not fading. Thanks Jim, et. al!

John, I'm still with 2017 and it's exclusive to this particular tune. Thanks.

I notice in your image the tracks seem to FX enabled .. maybe try adding a couple bars of silence to end of the RTs that are misbehaving; some FX cut right off when the EOF (end of file) is reached and their buffer doesn't continue to empty .. and making the EOF appear later allows them to empty the buffer.
*Note this solution is FX related/specific. May or may not work in your situation.

I do not work here, but the benefits are still awesome

rharv, That sounds like a good idea, I'm having trouble though. I've tried Edit/Insert blank bars where the tune ends but I don't see/hear anything happening. I think I need all tracks except drums to ring for another bar.

I"ve had success doing what you're trying to do by just using the snap feature, copy a portion of the track that is still sounding and then paste it back in as many times as you need. It can be tricky but works.

Whether it's inherent to this style or the fast tempo (250), there's no fixing this- I tried a fadeout ending in BIAB but it does not fade out in RB as requested, just the same truncated ending. John, good idea on the paste but not really possible on this one. Ugh...

I've had luck by inserting a zero volume MIDI note on either an existing or new MIDI track just past where you actually want the song to end. That ensures the song is long enough.

John, Jim, et. al., I beat the ghost in the machine with careful copy pastes of rhythm tracks so I can at least do a proper fadeout, rather than the intended ending. Thanks for your help. Wish I knew why this happened!

A BIAB fade is different then a RB Fade I do believe. I think BIAB lowers the volume of the track were RB lowers the level of the wavform.

I sometimes do shots, holds, endings the hard way still. I have a bunch of songs that were done before endings, shots, holds were avaiable in RB.Way too many with a fade out ending. I have to redo some of those. Fade outs live are a little weird.
