I hooked up my USB microphone to my computer, changed the audio set up on the computer to use my USB Microphone, changed the latency to 100. set everything exact to use my USB microphone, now I can arm the track and it even shows the track recording, but I am not getting any audio recording onto the track. I even changed the microphone and speaker in my control panel, on my PC. and still nothing. The computer recognized the USB microphone change, but my "Studio one 3" will not record. I am using windows 8.1 operating system. I have tried everything I know.

Have a look at your audio device setup in S1.3 DAW - On the Start Page, click on the configure audio device area to open the Options, From options: Options\Audio Device\Control Panel to determine the USB Mic appears in the list and is checked. It probably is but it's the first place I check.

If the USB mic is checked as an input then make sure that you are on an audio track and that track is set for your USB mic input. Also make sure that your track's output is set to your audio interface.
You said that you can see that the mic is recording. Where do you see that? Is there a wav form in the track? Is either the monophonic or stereo icon highlighted? Be sure to record your mic as a monophonic instrument.

I have S1 v 3.5.6.xxxx Pro and a Blue Snowball USB Mic. I plugged in the usb mic first, then started S1 and S1 opened normally and I started a new song, opened a mono Audio Track and the usb mic was recognized and recorded without issue.
Try restarting your computer, pluc in and activate the usb mic, (It should become the default input. If not, select it to be the default windows input) then open S1 to see if this gives you the same results as mine.

Does the USB microphone have a headphone jack? If so then the microphone likely expects you to use the headphone jack so you can experience latency free audio monitoring. All audio may be automatically routed to the USB microphone headphone jack every time you plug the microphone into any of the USB ports of your computer. The microphone has a built-in digital mixer that accepts digital audio from the computer, digital audio from the microphone, mixes the two digital audio streams together and sends the mixed audio through a digital to analog conversion, a headphone amplifier and the headphone jack. The mixer also converts the microphone analog audio to digital and sends a digital audio stream of the microphone to the computer. The really neat thing is the mixer, audio conversion and headphone amplifier is likely contained all inside one integrated circuit like +++ THIS +++ .

Thank you all for responding. OK what I am getting is this. when I plug in the USB Microphone that has a set of headphone attached to it, this is a Lab Tech that I bought at Walt-Mart. Well, when I plug the USB in the program will put up a window for controlling my audio devices, then I click it, then I set the USB microphone as my primary microphone, and disable the rest, I even set the earphones to the USB, nothing happens. I open "Studio One - 3" then I click on my song and arm the track now I am getting nothing but static on the armed track, and through the headphones. When I try to record sometimes I get no audio, and other times nothing but static recorded on the track. I have all microphone setting set to 40% and the headphones set to 40%. This leaves me scratching my head. Any further suggestions would truly be appreciated.

look at the post above your last one the mike needs to be setup before you open studio one. plug it in and then right click the speaker icon in the lower right hand system tray, then find "open sound setting" in the pop box screen find on the right pane "sound control panel" chose the USB mike, then start Studio one.
I have to be honest I have never liked USB mikes. they are difficult

I have tried everything repeatedly, Heck with the USB microphone. I am wondering first if it has something to do with the type of microphone headphone, set up that I am trying to use. I got this "studio one 3" with my Blue Yeti that I purchased. I am going to try to use this set up with my Blue Yeti before I give up. I will keep you all posted. But if that don't work it is back to the old Logitech audio microphone or my Fostex Mr-8 HD/CD. My stand alone unit.

Have you tried going to settings and clicking on Sound? In sound you can trouble shot, check your device properties, test your mic, as well as check your app volume and device preferences. All of these are important.

Clicking on settings, system, and then sound will get you there.
{edit} - This assumes that you have a PC. I have no idea where those settings are on a Mac.

I got to it, I can record on the Mic, but now I am getting a little bit of a slap back when I try to sing. I turned the Latency down to 10, but it still seems to be there. Any thoughts on this?

Now through the Yeti Microphone, I have that set as my primary mic, and the yeti as my primary playback, everything else is disabled.

I figured out where the echo and delay was coming from. I had my mic turned to loud, and it was to close to the computer.

I know this is from a previous post some time ago, but i have to let you know that i figured it out. Anybody that is having problems like i did here is the answer to my previous question. Ok, I purchased a Yeti mic with the studio in the deal this i think was called yeti studio from sweetwater. Anyhow, i was having a problem with echo that i didn't set up. So being confused i just used another DAW. After watching many videos i still couldn't figure it out; then by accident one day i did figure it out. I had the usb plugged in check, then i had the headphones plugged in check, but i was still getting that annoying echo. After recording a trak muting the michrophon so it didn't throw me off, i added reverb to the finished vocal trak, then i accidentally deleted the track, well, the record was still enabled and i was thinking out loud and i heard the reverb assigned to the track when i was thinking out loud. I finally figured out that in studio one you have to create the track then assign a reverb that you are pleased with and wala, it gets rid of the annoying echo or latency. Then you can commence to recording. In my opinion you do need a yeti micraphone for this to work correct2because your adio or, playback has to come through the yeti micraphone, well that's in my experience, but it may also work with just a usb michrophon through your moniters, not sure but i know that this does work through a yeti.
