I have same question, I tried to do this with an all midi mgu in Cakewalk and finished up with all audio.
I often work with a mix of audio and midi tracks and may well want to retain the midi tracks as midi for further editing that's the whole point of bringing it into to daw.
any thoughts.
Another thing what source does the vst use to render midi to audio that is from where does it get its voices ???
