Good idea ... But ... We don't know anything about the agreement PG Music has with the artists. Some artists may feel using "samples" as you describe exceeds the standard use already established for RealTracks and RealDrums.

While I realize existing RealTracks and RealDrums audio files can be imported into many programs so they can be sliced, diced or sampled I believe the saving grace is most users find it easier to let Band-in-a-Box and RealBand perform the labor of handling the audio file down to the bar-beat, multi-riff levels. In my mind, providing instrument samples is very different than providing percussion samples.

I like the idea and believe it could be very beneficial to users but also believe PG Music would need to carefully consider the best way to implement the idea.
