Thanks guys,

I will give Riffstation a try.

I decided to buy Platinum Samples Real Country AD. One of the first Midi packs I have been truly happy with. Good stuff!!

Hi Eddie,

I am going to download the BPM analyzer you suggested.

Finale is not a DAW, it is Music Notation Software( one of the two big ones, Sibelius is the other). You enter notes in standard notation. It requires all the same sort of things you would need if you were writing music on a piece of ledger paper. It will play out those notes with a built in midi synthesizer, in more or less the same way a classically trained musician would sight read it. Finale like many software programs has a very steep and serious learning curve.
Hence, my rant and frustration with music software in general. https://www.finalemusic.com/

I am old enough to remember the only way to learn a song like "Stormy Monday" was to go watch Aaron Thibeaux Walker AKA TBone Walker play it live in a dive in Houston or Dallas...lol

Cheers,

Billy

“Amazing! I’ll be working with Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Parker, Art Tatum, and Buddy Rich, and you’re telling me it’s not that great of a gig?
“Well…” Saint Peter, hesitated, “God’s got this girlfriend who thinks she can sing…”
