SOLVED - Studio One 4 Pro no longer sees the the BIAB VSTi2/3-64's #518731 01/18/19 04:12 PM Band-in-a-Box VST and Pro Tools/AAX DAW Plugin (Windows)

OP gwp99 Enthusiast G Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 69	I upgraded to 613 yesterday and today SO4 no longer sees the BIAB VSTis. (Win10-64) I uninstalled BIAB (I run it from the external drive) with the VSTs on my C drive and re-installed using setup from the drive. They were then showing as vsts in SO4. Next, I updated to 613 and SO4 no longer sees the VSTi's. Reaper sees all of them - vst2-64 & vst3 Any suggestions? Edit: redid above with full computer reboots between each step... Studio one doesn't even see the first version from the pg hdd. Last edited by gwp99; 01/21/19 11:20 AM.

Pipeline Veteran P Joined: Feb 2015 Posts: 7,954	Have a look in the Effects list if you have Band-in-a-Box DAW VST FX Plugin.dll Band-in-a-Box DAW VST FX Plugin.vst3 If you have use it or remove them from the vst folders then open S1 again you should see the VSTi.

Brian Hughes Journeyman B Joined: Jun 2008 Posts: 633 Jonesboro Arkansas	By default VST3 will go to C:\Programs Files\ Common Files \ VST3 \ The file you want is "Band-in-a-Box DAW VST3 Plugin.vst3" PG music recommends the VST3 plugin for various reasons. Also as mentioned S1 does not use the fx VST. Make sure S1 knows where to find the VST and if need be have scan on startup selected to add any new plugins. OP gwp99 Enthusiast G Joined: Dec 2014 Posts: 69	Well, I am one step closer. I removed the VSTi-64 and VST-FX leaving only the VSTi3. This finally shows in the Studio One list of available plugins. Once the plugin is inserted (either dragged or Add Instrument Track), the GUI auto opens as normal. I can "Generate" tracks for the Style loaded, BUT I cannot drag the completed tracks anywhere in the Arrange area of Studio One. It also shows as being disabled in the Instrument panel list (and unable to be Enabled). The only way to reopen the GUI is from the Instrument panel list via Edit, but of course, it cannot be enabled. The Left-Click menu on the BIAB track panel has The Remove Track and Instrument option greyed out - however, the Remove Track is available. It seems that the BIAB vsti looses communication with SO4 as soon as it is loaded. Last edited by gwp99; 01/19/19 06:49 AM.

The later does not work like in bandlab for some reason. HP Win 11 12 gig ram, Mac mini Sonoma with 16 gig of ram, BiaB/RB 2026, Reaper 7, Harrison Mixbus 11 , Presonus Audiobox USB96

They play as they should and the VSTi3 is actually following the time ruler of SO4! However, once the VSTi3 GUI window is closed, I can no longer reopen it...

The Generate time has a huge improvement - from 50sec down to 12sec for a test Style. The plugin stays live and can be enabled/disabled and the GUI reopened prior to loading or generating any styles. I am able to drag generated tracks into the DAW and they play properly. However, once Generating has been done, and the plugin is then disabled and then re-enabled, the plugin crashes on any further Generating/Dragging.
